HC-SR04 ultrasonic distance sensor module with integrated 40 kHz transmitter and receiver. Measurement range 2 cm to 400 cm, resolution 3 mm. Effective measurement angle ~15°. Operates by measuring time-of-flight (ToF) of an ultrasonic pulse. 5 V power supply, 15 mA consumption. Recommended sampling frequency 20 Hz. 4-pin connector (VCC, Trig, Echo, GND). Trigger pulse ≥ 10 µs, echo signal proportional to distance. Applications: obstacle-avoiding robot, level gauge, parking.
